Lukashenka: Belarus will not recognize Sukhumi and Tskhinvali
President Lukashenka says there is no disagreement among the peoples of Georgia, Belarus and Russia when on a state visit to Tbilisi.
In Tbilisi, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said that Belarus still will not recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
"Our position on the issues that you raised (the question of non-recognition of independence of Georgian territories) remains unchanged. Otherwise, I would not have come," newsgeorgia.ru quoted Lukashenka during a joint press conference with the president of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili.
Lukashenka noted that it is necessary to look to the future and to take steps to normalize relations between Georgia and Russia. He added that there is no disagreement between the peoples of Georgia, Belarus and Russia. There is only a misunderstanding at the political level, but it can be overcome.
