Lech Walesa: Europe will not be happy without Belarus, Ukraine

During the meeting of former Polish president Lech Walesa with the participants of the conference organized by the European Democratic Students in Gdansk on April 23-26, Walensa touched on the Belarusian topic, reports Belapan.
Responding to the question about Belarus's political perspectives, the former Poland's president said that during his presidency he expressively objected to Poland entering the European Union without Belarus and Poland. However, his successor Alexander Kwasniewski was of a different opinion.

Walesa noted that Europe is not supporting Belarus in full gear, because Europe is not united and strong enough. The former president expressed hope that this situation would eventually change and democratic Belarus would join the group of countries with European values. "Europe will not be happy without Belarus and Ukraine", Lech Walesa said.
