Lake Svitsyaz may be destroyed by tourists
5 thousand people come to Lake Svitsyaz due to heat every day. The lake cannot endure this pressure. The only way out is to limit the access to the lake, says the director of Navahrudak forestry Alyaksandr Dasko. Dasko: "This lake is unique and it is necessary to introduce limitations. However, I do not have the right to prevent people from going there. If the pressure continues, the lake will die and its uniqueness will be lost”.
By the way, the local District Executive Committee has created a raid group to patrol the lake. According to a decision of the Council of Ministers, it is forbidden to build fires, pitch tents and park cars in the republican reserve “Svitsyaz”. However, people ignore it.
