KGB raids oppositionist's home in Homel

KGB agents on December 15 raided the house of Uladzimir Katsyura, a deputy chairman of the United Civic Party's branch in Homel and the local coordinator of the For Freedom! movement, reports Belapan.
KGB agents came to his house at around 0920 and produced an official search warrant. Katsyura said the secret agents were looking for any materials associated with the operation of the unregistered youth organization, Malady Front.

Nevetheless, they would seize anything they saw, including the copies of Svaboda newspaper, the appeals to MPs and various information materials. According to Katsyura, KGB also wanted to raid the house of his mother-in-law in the village of Sharpilauka.
