Kazulin’s meeting with daughters is in for frustration
Alyaksandr Kazulin’s meeting with his daughters appointed for April 26 is in for frustration.
The lawyer Zmitser Harachka found it out during his last visit to Alyaksandr Kazulin. The administration of the colony refuses to allow the meeting on that day. Policemen say there will be no free room for a meeting of the political prisoner with his daughters on April 26. The politicians elder daughter Volha commented on it for “Radio Liberty”: “People in the colony know that even those who were not going to organize a meeting on April 26th are made to appoint meetings on that day so that there would be a reason to refuse my father because of lack of free rooms”. According to Volha Kazulina, it is an order of a higher instance meant to provide for a maximal isolation of A.Kazulin. Alyaksandr Kazulin’s daughter asked the head of the Vitsba-3 colony Vital Ahnistsikau about the official reason for the refusal. Volha reminded that the last long-term meeting with relatives at her father’s took place last November. It was the last time Alyaksandr Kazulin met his wife Iryna who died in February.
The former presidential candidate Alyaksandr Kazulin has been kept in the Vitsebsk colony for two years. The politician was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment for hooliganism and organization of street actions on the Day of Freedom on March 25, 2006.
