Israeli Ambassador surprised with Lukashenka’s statements

“The Belarusian President’s statements concerning Jews surprise and make me feel pity”, - commented the Israeli Ambassador on the words of Alyaksandr Lukashenka that were pronounced at the meeting with representatives of Russian mass media.
The President claimed: “If you have been to Babruisk you could have noticed in what condition the city was. It was scary to enter it! It was a real pigsty! It was mainly a Jewish town.

You know how Jews treat places they live in. Look at Israel”. At the same time he noted that Jews living abroad “had invested about 60 millions in the Belarusian economy” and invited them to return to the country.
