Georgia seeks travel-ban for Abkhazia, South Osetia leaders

The leaders of self-declared Abkhazia and South Ossetia Sergei Bagapsh and Eduard Kokoity will be subjected to prosecution in a criminal case opened by Georgia's Office of Prosecutor General, Georgia's Justice Minister Nika Gvaramia said in a statement, reports Interfax. Gergian authorities continue the investigation of the facts of ethnic cleansing in the Tskhinvali district and Abkhazia.

"We are trying to investigate the role of Sergei Bagapsh and Eduard Kokoity in the proved cleansing episodes. If they are proved, these people will be given to the hands of court", Gvaramia stressed. The Georgian anti-crisis council decided to seek sanctions that would make it impossible for Bagapsh and Kokoity to move freely outside the borders of the self-declared countries.
