"Gazprom" admits debt for gas transit across Belarus
“Gazprom”’s debt for the transit is caused by the fact that Belarus does not allow to pay it off. According to RIA “Novosti”, an official representative of “Gazprom” Sergei Kupriyanov has informed about it. He has admitted that the indebtedness really exists. However, “Gazprom” cannot pay it off because, according to Kupriyanov, the country does not draw up transit acts.
The representative of “Gazprom” has confirmed that the transit debt is comparable to Belarus’ debt for gas supplies ($192 million).
