Foreign Minister Makei met EU Commissioner Hahn in Luxembourg

Belarus Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei on 15 October met with EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn to discuss the EU-Belarus partnership priorities for 2018/20 and an agreement on the facilitation of visa procedures among other issues, reports the press office of Belarusian MFA.

The meeting took place in Luxembourg at the annual summit of foreign ministers from the EU member states and the Eastern Partnership countries. Speaking at the summit, Makei stressed the need to retain the Eastern Paretnership 'as an inclusive, pragmatic and non-confrontational initiative' and to implement as soon as possible the agreements achieved in the framework of this initiative.
