European communists suggest including Belarusian deputies in Euronest
A voting about the European Parliament’s resolution on Belarus will take place on March 10. Deputies have also mentioned the issue of our country’s participation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Eastern Partnership in their resolutions.
A group of communists and the left have suggested including Belarusian parliamentarians in the Euronest. They think that “participation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Eastern Partnership has to be approved by all participating parliamentarians without discrimination of any sides”.
Deputies of the Group of European conservatives and reformists suggest noting that the Belarusian delegation in the Euronest should consist of representatives of the opposition and the civil community. The reason for it is the fact that the Belarusian Parliament is not recognized by the European Parliament, the OSCE and the Council of Europe.
