Court adjourns after combining cases against Andrei Kim

A judge at Minsk's Central District Court today rejected to free opposition activist on bail. Instead, two criminal cases against the activist were combined into one.
The next hearing will be scheduled after all the parties will receive the official notice about the combined case, Ihar Lednik, a coordinator for the Our Belarus human rights movement of entrepreneurs told the European Radio for Belarus. 

He was present at the courthouse. 

"The defense lawyer asked to free Andrei on bail. The money had been gathered by his mother and entrepreneur Ales Makayeu. It was ready to be deposited at the court's bank account, but the motion was rejected by the judge", he said.

The youth activist is tried on charges of allegedly beating up a police officer and causing public unrest.
