Christian Democrats to withdraw their candidates
Members of the steering committee for creation of a civil association “Belarusian Christian Democracy” will withdraw their candidates from the election campaign by September 23. Let us remind you that 5 BCD candidates have been registered: three – in Minsk, one - in Vitsebsk Region and one - in Homel Region. Three candidates have not been registered and sent complaints to the CEC.
The council of the steering committee has decided to withdraw its candidates if four main demands are not fulfilled: inclusion of Christian democrats in district election commissions, cessation of repressions, cancellation of early elections and free access to mass media.
