Children's foreign travel rules changed

Belarus has introduced changes in the procedures that regulate foreign travel by children, Mikalai Sheushyk, the head of citizenship and migration department at the Minsk City Police Department said in a statement. Previously, passports valid until the age of 16 would be issued to children traveling abroad. Under the new procedure, passports for children will be valid for five years only, reports Interfax.

The new measure aims to facilitate the identification of teenagers, because passports would previously bear out-dated pictures.
