Chernobyl Way heads for Peoples’ Friendship Park
A famous bard Andrei Melnikau has sung a few songs at a meeting near the Academy of Sciences. The co-leaders of the steering committee for the creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party Alyaksei Shein and Vital Rymasheuski have claimed that the Belarusian authorities pay little attention to the consequences of Chernobyl disaster.
Academician Ivan Nikitchanka has noted in his speech that the radiation problem in Belarus is more severe that it was in 1986. According to him, radiation has been distributed all over the country in a man-caused way.
Demonstrators will head for Chernobyl Chapel after the speech of the co-leader of an international organization “Malady Front” Zmitser Dashkevich.
