Cargo company owner Syargei Shtoda released from jail

Cargo company owner Syargei Shtoda was released after a 15-day arrest. From the Akrestsina prison he was taken to the police station, and from there the businessman got home.

Tomorrow, on February 19, he will give a press conference, where he will talk about the circumstances of his arrest.

Cargo companies whom Shtoda represented want partial amnesty for BelToll penalties. They say that during the first month after the system was launched they were not explained how it operated and it led to them receiving huge fines - up to 100 thousand euros.

Cargo companies prepared a protest near the Government House. Before the rally, on February 3, Shtoda went to Government House for an appointment with the First Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Matyusheusky. The businessman was detained and accused of "using foul language".
