Brest opposition members meet deputy of House of Representatives of National Assembly Aleh Vyalichka

Activists of Brest Regional coalition of the united democratic forces have discussed the current problems of the civil, political, social and economic sphere at a meeting with a deputy of the House of Representatives of the national Assembly Aleh Vyalichka. The meeting was initiated by the activists and took place on June 20. Leaders of Regional structures of the UCP Mikalai Koush and Uladzimir Buyek, of the BCP Leanid Maistruk, of the BSDP “Hramada” Ihar Maslouski and Hanna Kanyus took part in it. They discussed the new law on mass media, terms of activities of political parties and civil organizations, parliamentary elections, educational reform, construction of a nuclear power plant and social protection of people. The opposition members handed the deputy a number of written suggestions concerning the improvement of household services and the change of place allocated to mass events in Brest. “We agreed that such meetings would be necessary in the future too”, - informed the head of the regional affiliate of the UCP Mikalai Koush. A similar meeting with a deputy Svyatlana Hil was organized by Brest democratic forces in December 2007.
