Brest observers do not find blank papers in ballot box

У Брэсце назіральнікі не знайшлі чыстай паперы, кінутай у скрыню заміж бюлетэняў

Observers of the Movement For Freedom Dzyanis Turchanyak and Syarhei Vakulenka are asking Brest Office of the Public Prosecutor to conduct a checkup and start a criminal case for rigging the election. They lodged their complaint on October 12, BelaPAN reports.

Some voters put blank papers and took their ballot papers home during the early vote, Turchanyak says. The blank appears had to be in the ballot box.

However, they were replaced with filled in ballot papers at polling stations #53 and #60. At least five ballot papers are fake, the observer says. Turchanyak has the ballot papers that voters had brought home on him now.

Only one ballot paper was missing when the box was opened on October 11, observes noticed. Furthermore, the four blank papers were also missing although they had to be in the ballot box.

The fording of documents is a crime. It is indicated in article 192 of the Criminal Code, Turchanyak noted.

The experiment was conducted at three polling stations, Brest observers say. Blank papers were found only at one of the polling stations. It can be explained by the fact that an OSCE observer had photographed the seal on the ballot box on the second voting say, Turchanyak thinks. Officials decided not to open the ballot box to avoid the risk of being noticed, he believes.
