BNF withdraws its candidates

The BNF party has decided to withdraw its deputy contenders from the elections of deputies of the House of Representatives. It will happen on September 23, five days before the elections. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Council of BNF on August 30. One of the participants of the meeting, Franka Vyachorka, has informed BelaPAN that the Council took the decision because the elections of deputies of the House of Representatives appointed for September 28 were not free and were already unjust.
Only 7 out of 320 BNF candidates have been selected. In connection with it the BNF party has decided that all deputy contenders will make use of their opportunity to communicate with electors. However, they will not make use of the money allocated by the Central Election Commission for printing leaflets and will be withdrawn five days before the elections”, - informed F.Vyachorka. 20 out of 25 BNF candidates have been registered to take part in the elections. A meeting of the presidium of the United Democratic Forces will take place in Minsk on August 31. The UDF will have to work out their position concerning their participation in the parliamentary elections.
