BNF member Ivan Sheha: My withdrawal would be a capitulation

The BNF Party has decided to withdraw its deputy contenders from the elections of deputies of the House of Representatives five days before the election. However, not all BNF members are ready for it. "I abstained when the decision was being taken”, - says a deputy contender from Slonim, a traumatologist Ivan Sheha. According to him, practically all of the registered BNF candidates would like “to fight till the end”.

Sheha refers to the fact that the council’s decision “is not final” and the candidates “whose chances are good” may be able to take part in the elections without having to violate the party discipline.
Ivan Sheha says that many Slonim inhabitants would like him to participate in the elections because they want an alternative to the state candidate (Sheha’s rival is the head of the district executive committee Mechyslau Kastsyuk):

"Speaking about our electors, many of them would like me to fight till the end. They want to come and vote for me. Many people need an alternative otherwise they would have to vote against the only candidate. Only one representative of the authorities will remain if I withdraw”.

The BNF member thinks that his withdrawal would be “a capitulation”.
