Biathlete Dzinara Alimbekava has started training three months after an operation. She has posted the photo on Instagram and commented on it: “Thee months has passed after the operation. I have started shooting in the prone position, it is not ideal but I am happy to be doing it!”

Dzinara Alimbekava, 22, won a gold medal at the Olympic Games in the relay race in February 2018 in PyeongChang. The other team members were Nadzeya Skardino, Iryna Kryuko and Darya Domracheva. The biathletes were awarded orders ‘For personal bravery’. Alimbekava underwent an operation on her left shoulder in May. The rehabilitation took a long time. Thus, Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s plan to personally train Dzinara and to teach her to mow could not be realized.

Domracheva and Skardino have finished their career in sports this year. Only Kryuko and Alimbekava are going to keep training.
