Belavia suspends flights to Sharm el-Sheikh

"Белавія" прыпыняе палёты ў Шарм-эль-Шэйх

Belavia will suspend flights to Sharm el-Sheikh beginnig from December 10, Belavia CEO Anatol Husarau said in a statement.

“We suspend our flights to Sharm el-Sheikh for commercial reasons. It is hard to say for how long. Today we will carry out the last flight. The plane will fly empty but will return full of passengers," said Husarau.

According to CEO, the decision was taken about one month ago based on demand from tour operators. There are much less people willing to make holidays at Sharm el-Sheikh. However, Belavia will continue to fly to yet another resort in Egypt - Hurghada - without interruptions, reports BELTA.

On December 17, Belavia will launch flights to the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. In March, Belavia will open charter routes to Canary Islands, said Husarau.
