Belarusian railways expand routes with free Wi-Fi

Belarusian Railways (BR) has increased the number of routes with free Wi-Fi. The service was first introduced on the Minsk-Homiel regional trains in August 2016. According to the Belarusian Railways' press office, free Wi-Fi was added in April 2018 on the diesel regional trains serving the Minsk-Polack, Minsk-Lida and Minsk-Vilnius (on the territory of Belarus only). The service is provided by the communications company Velcom.

In order to get access to to free Wi-Fi on the afore-mentioned trains, users need to register. Access codes will be sent via SMS to a user's phone upon registration. The clients of all Belarusian mobile phone will be able to use this free Wi-Fi service.
