Belarus turns out to be one of most corrupt countries

Belarus is on the list of 40 most corrupt countries in the world, claims an international independent organization “Transparency International” in its annual report “Corruption Barometer”.
The corruption index of Belarus is 2.1 points out of 10 were 10 is the best index. It means the country is in the lead of the rating, reports RIA “Novosti”.

The same rating (2.1) is in Azerbaijan, Khazakstan, Kyrgystan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan – 2.0.

Russia’s rating is a bit higher – 2.3 points.

The most corrupt countries are said to be Burma, Somali, Iraq, Haiti and Uzbekistan.

Counties having the least amount of cases of bribery and nepotism are Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada and Norway.

The corruption rating is based on the data presented by 12 independent institutions.
