Belarus national Paralympic team is 21st in medal count tally

The XIII Summer Paralympics is over in Beijing. The Belarusian team is 21st in medal count tally. Belarusian athletes have won 13 awards: 1 bronze, 7 silver and 5 gold medals (our team was 17th and had 29 medals at the previous Paralympics).
The gold medals were won by swimmers Dzmitry Salei, Raman Makarau and Syarhei Punko, an athlete Tamara Sivakova (disc throwing) and a bike duet of Iryna Fyadotava and Alena Drazdova in the individual highway race. Let us note that 27-year-old Syarhei Punko from Navapolatsk is the owner of three medals – he has two silver medals besides the gold one.

China national team has won in the Paralympic medal count tally - 211 awards including 89 gold medals.
