Belarus may ratify customs code of Customs Union on September 7

Belarus can't join the Customs Code of the Customs Union without its ratification by the parliament, says former judge of Belarus' Constitutional Court Mikhail Pastukhov, reports Belapan. The lawyer said all major international agreements must be ratified by the Belarusian parliament, according to the practice. The House of Representatives, the lower chamber of the Belarusian parliament, today did not discuss this issue. It is not ruled out that the question can be considered on September 7, during the extraordinary session of the parliament. The preliminary agenda of this session does not include the ratification of the Customs Code. But it is very likely that additional topics could be included into the agenda.
