Belarus exhibition at UN headquarters in New York

The exhibition titled "The Work of Yanka Kupala in the Context of World's Culture" opened at the New York-based headquarters of the United Nations.
The exhibit, part of the activities to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Belarus's honored poet, is organized by the Yanka Kupala National Literature Museum in Minsk. It focuses on the creative and human ties of the great Belarusian poet with the world's cultures and literatures, reports Belta.

The exhibition showcases the translations of Yanka Kupala's titles into different languages as well as the translations of the world's literary masterpieces made into the Belarusian language by Yanka Kupala. This is the third exhibition which Belarus has organized at the UN headquarters in 2007. Photo exhibitions titled "The Women of Belarus"  and "Chernibyl through Children's Eyes" took place in the spring and summer of 2007.
