Authorities’ candidates say they do not need agitation

Only three out of the six parliamentary deputy contenders in three Baranavichy and district constituencies are independent – entrepreneurs Mikalai Charnavus and Aleh Pashko and a mechanic of a cotton factory Ryhor Hryk. They have answered the questions of an independent regional newspaper “Intexpress”.
The print run of “Intexpress” totals 16.5 thousand issues. Authorities’ candidates – General Anatol Vankovich, director general of “Grand-service” enterprise Svyatlana Pishch and a former director of “Brestautadar”, a current deputy of the House of Representatives Uladzimir Maisyuk do not want to talk to its readers. “Intexpress” journalists phoned them more than 50 times over the last two days. Uladzimir Maisyuk told journalists that he will give an interview to the edition after the elections.

At the same time, an independent candidate, a mechanic of a cotton factory Ryhor Hryk, has hardly managed o enter his enterprise because the administration was afraid that he would start agitating there. The refusal was motivates by an announcement of the mechanic’s vacations. In the end, a security guard was invited and he watched Hryk’s every action at the enterprise.
