Anzhalіka Borys and UPB activists are released but forbidden to leave

The leader of the unrecognized Union of Poles in Belarus Anzhalika Borys and her colleagues have been detained by the police not far from Valozhyn and they are not allowed to enter the city or head in any other direction. Anzhalika Borys has informed ERB about it. Anzhalika Borys: “I have been detained with seven other people not far from Valozhyn. I tried to enter the city with my lawyer. We entered it but were detained by the driving inspectorate. I had to get out of the car and then a bus with seven people in plain clothes approached us. I think those were special police officers; they caught me, pushed me into the bus and drove me out of Valozhyn. At first they took away my phone and I could not use it. They have returned it now. The police and a few driving inspectorate cars are watching us here”.

According to her, policemen do not allow her and her colleague to leave the place. At the same time, the policemen do not consider it to be a detention and say that they are trying to find out who the guests of their hospitable city are.  They have not even taken away their passports.
Let us remind you that the hearing of the civil case of the leader of Ivyanets affiliate of the UPB Teresa Sobal continues in Valozhyn court today. She is accused of taking over the Polish House.
