Anti-communism forum denied venue in Minsk

The Palace of Culture of the Minsk Auto Works (MAZ) has refused to offer its venues for the forum "Future Without Communism", Ales Mikhalevich, the chairman of the forum's organizing committee told the European Radio for Belarus. “The official reason is that the venue has already been booked for that day. We are now in the process of looking for another location. Unfortunately, we will be unable to find a relevant venue, but will hold the forum at any location anyway”.

In early November, Minsk will host am international gathering of the delegates from communist parties.

In respond, opposition politician Pavel Sevyarynets, historian Ihar Kuzniatsou and Ales Mikhalevich, the deputy chairman of the Party of the Belarusian Popular Front are organizing an anti-communist forum to take place on November 3 in Minsk.
