Andrei Haidukou arrested twice over four days

Andrei Haidukou was detained on 24 November in Polatsk. The news came from a human rights activist told Tatsiana Sevyarynets:

Sevyarynets:"Andrei was detained.Today he disseminated information about political prisoners in Polatsk and Navapolatsk."

The activist is being accused of hlding an unauthorized picket, there is now communication with him now. This is the second arrest of Haidukou over the past four days. On October 21 the police also accused him of holding an unauthorized event.

Tatsiana Sevyarynets believes that Andrei Haidukou got in a difficult life situation:

Sevyarynets: "He was tired of it all, you know. The guy couldn't get a job. He tried everywhere -- they would not hire him."

On July 1, 2013 opposition activist Haidukou was found guilty of trying to establish contacts with foreign intelligence servive and sentenced to 1.5 years in prison. The sentence was passed by the Vitsebsk Regional Court, and the meeting was held behind closed doors.
