Ales Pushkin paints 'Independence' on central square in Bobr

The prominent artist has marked the Freedom Day. Since the morning of March 25, Ales Pushkin has been painting 'Independence' on the central square of the village of Bobr. He also unfolded a white-red-white flag over it.

Police officers approached Pushkin several times and asked what he was painting. "This is a battle between the Good and the Evil", answered the artist. He refused to remove the flag.

Here is what Ales Pushkin said about the developments in Bobr:

"I have been working quietly. I will be painting till 6 p.m. Most likely, they will not arrest me, because police officers keep coming up, watching and taking pictures. There is a police car nearby; people, including children and students, also come".

Pushkin reminds that last year he managed to stay on the square for only 42 minutes before he was detained by the police. The situation looks differerently this year. It means the tendency has changed", says the artist.
