About 17 thousand people died in road accidents in Belarus over the last decade. Vasil Bulbyankou, the acting head of the republican Driving Inspectorate, has informed about it.

According to him, the increase in the number of road accidents is the result of the increase of the number of vehicles in the country. Almost 3 millions of them are registered now.

On average, there is 1 vehicle per 4 Belarusians and Minsk index is 1 vehicle per 3 inhabitants.
