40,000 Manifest songs downloaded from tut.by within two days

Belarus's cult band Lyapis Trubetskoi has no idea of how many fans have downloaded a new album from the internet and are set to start selling their CD. "The video and audio versions have been spread across various web sites and it is definitely out of control," says producer Yauhen Kalmykou. "People post it in order to back their web resources. The same thing happened with "Capital". This is normal and we do not fear it. But we will not know the exact figure of downloads.

According to the producer, Lyapis Trubetskoi is satisfied with the action. The European Radio for Belarus has learned that the master disc has already been sent to the press but it is not yet known when the album will be physically released on a CD.

Yahen Kalmykou:
“We have allowed West Records and Nikitin (a Russian company) to release this album. Frankly, we don't care when they are going to do it”.

The musicians are convinced that the disc will be in demand, regardless of numerous downloads.

According to tut.by director general Kiryl Valoshyn, at least 7000 people downloaded the album on September 26 alone, and some mp3 songs were downloaded by over 40,000 people.
