16:25 BSU is given Vietnam State Award
Belarusian State University has been given the state award of Vietnam – the Order of Friendship of Peoples — for the great contribution in education of the country’s students and development of Belarusian-Vietnamese relations.
According to the BSU press service, the main field of the university’s cooperation with Vietnam is giving Vietnamese students an opportunity to get higher education in various fields using the money allocated by the Vietnamese government and by individual contracts.
Starting from the 1960s BSU has educated more than 500 physicists, chemists, mathematicians and biologists, and about 200 historians, journalists, philologists, philosophers and lawyers. 30 citizens of Vietnam are studying at the university at the moment.
