15:34 Belarus servicemen to get new boots
Old-style boots and rags for feet-wrapping will have been phased out from the combat gear of soldiers and sergeants of the Belarusian Army by 2010. They will be replaced with high shoes and socks, said the Belarus Ministry of Defense.
The gradual transition to the new types of uniform has already been under way for several years.
Shoes are already a part of the gear of the Belarusian officers and contracted servicemen as well as those serving in special operations forces and several other types of troops.
