10 people already detained with regard to "firestarters" case
Two more social activists, Tatsiana Siamianishchava and Uladzimir Valodzin, have been detained on September 8 at 12.00 in Minsk. Their friends are convinced these detentions are connected with investigation of the Russian Embassy attack case. “The detained girl's name is Tania Siamianishchava. She already was arrested the other day - they interrogated and searched her, and then released. Now they have detained her again - they allegedly found something on the hard disk of her computer”.
As for the reasons and details of detention of Uladzimir Valodzin - participants of the anti-nuclear campaign and the activist of the Belarusian Green Party - nothing is clear. Thus, the quantity of people detained upon suspicion in arsons of the "Belarusbank" department, the Trade Union House and the car at the territory of the Russian Embassy, increased to 9.
Information about detention of Siarhej Papou - the activist of the unregistered Freedom Party - appeared on September 8. He is suspected in attack on the detention center at Akrestsina Street.
