Sasnovich into Sydney International semi-finals

Aliaksandra Sasnovich has made it to the semi-finals of the Sydney International. The Belarusian has defeated Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland in the quarter-final — 6:3, 6:3. Sasnovich is the World No.33 and Bacsinszky is in the 192nd position.

Aliaksandra Sasnovich will compete with the winner of the other quarterfinal match – Angelique Kerber of Germany or Petra Kvitová of the Czech Republic. Kerber is the Word No.2. Kvitova is in the 8th position in the WTA rankings. The Czech tennis player defeated Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka at the beginning of the tournament.
