Poland has accepted 15 thousand political refugees from Belarus after August 2020, said the head of the Polish Interior Ministry, Mariusz Kaminski:

"The post-Soviet Lukashenko regime was driven by the desire to take revenge on Poland, Lithuania and Latvia for the support we provide to the Belarusian opposition by taking care of political refugees. After 2020, when mass public protests and repression began after the rigged elections, Poland accommodated about 15 thousand political refugees from Belarus.

By Lukashenka's revenge, Kaminski means the migration crisis on the border of Belarus with the EU. Western countries blame Lukashenka for starting it.
