As many as 188 employees of the National Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus have opposed the dismissal of their colleagues. "We cannot be silent!" they said in a video address.

“We are a family in which there are no and cannot be "superfluous" people," said the staff of the Opera House. "For decades we have been building the image of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus both in our country and in the world ... We are not nuts that can be unscrewed and thrown away! We are the soul of the theater, its heart and voice. Now our collective has been drained of blood, with brilliant, irreplaceable people, our colleagues on the stage, brothers and sisters in spirit snatched from us."

The authors of the video address stated that they did not agree with the decision to dismiss the leading representatives of the theater: honored art worker of the Republic of Belarus, conductor Andrei Halanau, winner of the Francysk Skaryna medal, opera soloist Illya Silchukou and others. The dismissal took place after the solidarity event, which took place at the Opera House on October 27.
