As of 1 January 2018, the Minsk-based channel STV no longer rebroadcasts programming from the Russian TV channel RenTV, reports nn.by.

Now STV offers only original locally produced programming and feature films. The management has not commented the changes in the programming content.

STV rebroadcasted RenTV's programming since day one of its operation - 1 January 2001. Initially, the Russian partner's programs accounted for nearly all STV's content. It took STV 17 years to refuse from reabroadcasting the Russian channel.

In recent years, RenTV's editorial focus has switched to false science and propaganda of conspiracy theories, UFOlogy, alternative history among other things.
