Compare the red and gray bars in the charts. There are many more deaths in May and June than in previous years.

The highest death rate in the country was reached in June and is about 13,000 people. The average June mortality rate for the previous 5 years is 9,263 people. This means that in 2020 we are seeing an increase of more than 3,500 deaths in June alone.

April, May, June are the months when the coronavirus behaved aggressively. But the officially registered increase in the number of patients was less than a thousand per day. The number of deaths, according to the Ministry of Health, never exceeded 7 people a day.

According to official data, over the entire period of the pandemic in Belarus, about 700 people have died from COVID-19.
