Kirov court increases security measures - Navalny case considered today
In July, the Kirov court of Russia sentenced famous blogger and opposition activist Alexei Navalny to 5 years in jail.
Pyotr Ofitserov got 4 years of imprisonment for the same case on stealing the finance of "Kirovles". Both convicts were taken in custody right in the court hall, but released the next day.
On Wednesday, Kirov regional court will consider the appeal against the sentence to Alexei Navalny and Pyotr Ofitserov. According to RIA Novosti, several policemen are on duty near the court building while the court officers control the building inside.
