Minsk has retaliated against the sanctions introduced by the Baltic states against Aliaksandr Lukashenka and 29 Belarusian officials, Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei said at a news conference after meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.

According to Makei, "the list of symmetrical measures" against representatives of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia was introduced on September 1. The Belarusian top diplomat also said that the list includes the persons "who were very intrusive trying to interfere with the domestic affairs of Belarus", namely offered financial support to the opposition.

Minsk has no intention to publish this list. Makei added that Belarus and Russia have a common list of non-grata persons. so "this must make them think."

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia on August 31 approved the national 'blacklists" against Belarusian officials responsible for the falsifications during the Aug.9 presidential elections and police violence against peaceful demonstrators.
