FIBA bans all basketball teams from Belarus and Russia

Executive Committee of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has excluded all national teams of Belarus and Russia from their competitions.

First of all, it is about the qualifying games for the World Basketball Championship 2023, the FIFA U-17 Women's Basketball World Championship - 2022, the FIBA Women's Basketball World Championship - 2022.

Also, Belarusian and Russian clubs and players will not be able to register for the next FIBA tournaments.

In addition, FIBA Executive Committee decided that the official basketball competitions under the auspices of the organization should not be held in Russia or Belarus until further notice.
