Euroradio's correspondents Mikhail Ilyin and Artsiom Mayorau today were detained when covering a protest action in central Minsk. They were streaming live when plainclothes police officers grabbed them and pushed into a police van.

In the last seconds of the stream, Ilyin can be heard shouting: "We are journalists."

The journalists had press badges and the Euroradio logo on the microphone. However, they were detained anyway.

Mikhail Ilyin briefly contacted the newsroom shortly after to tell us they were placed into a prisoner transport vehicle.
