World-famous biathlete, Hero of Belarus and Lukashenka's favorite Darya Domrachava has spoken out on the developments in our country. Over the past three days, security forces have detained over 6000 people who protested the rigged results of the August 9 presidential election. Hundreds were wounded, two people have died.

Domrachava has called on the commander of riot police and other law-enforcement bodies.

"I love my dear peaceful Belarus!" she wrote on Instagram. Domrachava called on everyone who issues orders, in particular, "commanders of riot police units": Stop the violence! She calls "to stop this unfair horror in the streets." She is confident that any conflict can be resolved peacefully and asks to be heard.

Darya Domrachava was previously more cautious in public statements about the situation in Belarus.
