Belarus currently is among the world’s 20 biggest weapon-selling nations. In 2017, the country increased arms exports by 15% and earned more than $1 billion, State Military Industrial Committee Head Aleh Dvihalyou said.  Weapons were supplied to 69 states in 2017 (against 60 in 2016), he noted. Russia stands out as the main importer of Belarus-made weapon systems, BELTA reports.

In 2018, Belarus will start exporting its latest  Polonez multiple launch rocket system to buyers from the CIS, CSTO and ‘more distant’ states, Dvihalyou noted.
