Belarus is 24th among China’s biggest debtors

Belarus is on the list of top-30 China’s debtors together with with African states and Montenegro, My.fin reports. The data has been presented by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Belarus’ debt to China totals more than 10% of the GDP.

The research was conducted in 2019 but it also contains foreign debt information dating back to 2017. The report contains the list of states who own major sums to China. Belarus is in the 24th position between Turkmenistan and Kenya. The other Eastern European states on the list are Bosnia, Macedonia and Montenegro.
