Basketball: American Bentley to play for Belarus at EuroBasket 2017

American Alexandria Marie Bentley will play for Belarus national team at the continental championship. It will start in the Czech Republic on June 16. Belarus will take part in the tournament without several key players. Bentley’s help will be crucial.
The American is a member of Connecticut Sun at the moment. She will leave the team after a match against San Antonio. Bentley is proud to play for Belarus, she said. ‘It is very difficult to get into to the U.S. national team’ so she has agreed to become a Belarusian citizen, she confessed. American Lindsey Harding used to play in Belarus national team before. However, she finished her ‘Belarusian” career after the Olympics in Rio.
