According to the Russian Constitution, people's assemblies can be held without the authorities' permit. However, the police have a polar opinion and qualify such demonstrations as non-sanctioned events.



The biggest demonstration is planned in the Manezhnaya Square in Moscow today. It will start at 6 p.m., Minsk time. 7 thousand Facebook users announced they would attend the event. In the morning, workers started repairing the tiles in the square, police buses are already parked in the area.



The politicians who run for Mayor of Moscow and governors of the Moscow Area are going to attend the action - Sergei Mitrokhin and Gennadiy Gudkov. They offered to hold the demonstration in the format of a pre-electoral meeting.
